Spring 2020
When Andrea and I bought our house there was a place already set aside for a sauna. It had a sauna door and a floor drain, but had only been used as a storage room for the house’s 20 year history. We decided to change that! There is nothing like a good sauna (SOW-na not saa-nuh) especially when it is really cold outside haha. Overall, the build went as most projects do — full of difficulties, but the end product makes you happy again to sign up for the next project. Special thanks for my dad for always teaching me the harder parts of every project (and even doing a TON of the work).
If you’re looking to build one and have questions, let me know. I bought a kit and if I were to do it all over again, I would build my space to the standard sizes of the kits and not get a custom kit. I would have also probably bought from SaunaFin.com. I outlined my rough plan in this document if you want a place to start.
Cheers
