In summer of 2019, my good buddy Brennan brought up that there is a real need in the engineer community for a resource to learn about what other engineer’s actual days are like. University can teach you equations, but it really lacks in an ability to help you find a job that you will actually enjoy going to. From this discussion, Engineer, Your Career (EYC) was born. The main premise:
Help engineers explore potential career paths by listening to the experiences of others
Many people don’t know what a certain job title is aside from reading the job description, which is usually drastically different from what day-to-day life is actually like in that position. Only a lucky few actually get to hear from someone who does that specific job, which always provides richer information than can be summed up in a description. We believe that by sharing honest experiences listeners will learn more about the wide variety of engineering jobs out there.
